Local Authorities

We provide a range of services to help Local Authorities provide a better service to your schools. This includes centralised LA departments and arms-length ICT support functions, from ICT technicians to strategic management teams.

In recent years, Local Authorities have experienced a range of challenges; competing with commercial ICT support companies, strains on budget for technicians to visit schools and a need to remain at the cutting edge of technology. E-Safety, broadband infrastructure, cloud computing, interactive technology and a bewildering range of options of each! It’s enough to challenge the most experienced local authority specialists.

At Elementary Technology we understand this. We know that some Local Authorities are migrating to G-Suite and others to O365. Some are traditionally SMART areas and others Promethean. Some are well-resourced centrally and others operate on a shoe-string. Some are open-minded to technology and others are more cautious.

These are a few of our key services we provide to all of the above, bespoke to your organisation and your objectives:

Independent Advice

Without commercial bias and motives, we’ll provide experienced advice to you to pass onto your schools, or indeed directly to your schools if you prefer. We complement your knowledge of core ICT with our expertise in audio-visual and interactive technology. We don’t replace or tread on your toes.

Your own LA EdTech Expo

As a Tier 1 partner of the majority of manufacturers, we regularly work with Local Authorities to showcase a range of these to schools in the region. Like a ‘mini, local Bett show’. We fund a local venue, teas, coffees and nibbles and work with you to maximise footfall. We invite guest speakers, host Edech seminars and of course accommodate your relationships as well. Designed and planned in partnership, meaning each one of our EdTech Expos is unique.

Hosting at Exhibitions

At the Bett Show and elsewhere, we can be seen browsing around with our local authority partners. Cutting through the sales patter, helping you plan a route according to your objectives, introducing you to the big brand decision-makers and buying you lunch! Speak to us about any shows you’re attending and we’ll be happy to host.

Dedicated Account Management

Our business is built on relationships, not on faceless sales transactions. An experienced Account Manager is on the end of the phone and always available to visit your offices, supported by our Service Delivery Team to provide immaculate service to yourselves and your schools.

And don’t just take our word for it. Hear from the ICT Manager at Stockport Local Authority;

“We have worked with Elementary Technology for over 10 years. Their commitment and their expertise has been invaluable in making sure we provide best advice and support to our schools. It’s excellent that they can supply and support any audio-visual brand, they are open-minded to new ideas and we get the feeling they understand us for who we are! That’s a rare thing in our industry”
