Even in this era of mobile devices in the classroom, your classroom display is the hub of your teaching and learning.
The majority of classrooms are upgrading to interactive touchscreen technology, providing a seamless teaching tool with limitless possibilities. Classroom projectors and non-interactive displays can still be a good option in some circumstances – the key is providing the technology to achieve your objectives.
Multitouch interactive touchscreens use anti-glare, toughened glass for any lighting conditions, and ensure pupils can see content far more clearly compared to projector technology. They reduce teacher workload, improve pupil engagement and with the correct support, they improve outcomes.
Below is an image we prepared with one of our customers in York. See how old versus new technology compares from a pupil’s perspective; clearly the learning experience is vastly different.
Educational software is an integral part of any touchscreen – it’s vital this is front and centre of your decision making. See a snapshot of our provision here, supporting EYFS to HE/FE and everything in between.
There are over 30 brands to choose from, each supplying a range of sizes and specifications. They are also more complex than ever – upgradeable android boxes, integration with Google, Mobile Device Management (MDM), the latest software and more. All this means that advice from a touchscreen specialist is vital to get a return on your investment.
Our Touchscreen Guide is a great place to start, or else feel free to call our team or chat online.
As a trusted advisor to schools, a SMART Platinum Partner, Promethean Platinum Partner and more, we’ll provide independent advice on licence obligations and compliance. We also provide full, pedagogical training for all teaching staff as standard – inclusive as part of our first-class service.
