All part of the service…
When our colleague Daniel Handford (meet him below on YouTube) was project managing an install of 4 Promethean interactive touchscreens at a primary school in Stockport this morning, he wasn’t quite content as the project came to a close.
The legacy projectors and interactive whiteboards had been removed and the new technology installed. The cables had been safely concealed into the faceplate and the height-adjustable bracket had been tested. Their IT department had been trained and the software fully installed. The first phase of their 5-year training plan had been booked, the install receipts signed and even the warranties had been registered with the manufacturer. Everybody was happy.
Except Daniel. There were tiny trimmings of cardboard packaging on the floor in front of the screen – and they had to be removed.
So in a manner which would make his wife proud (and slightly envious), he politely requested someone fetch him a vacuum cleaner – one which was powerful enough to remove the barely visible fragments on the carpet. He needed to ensure the project-managed installation of the school’s new interactive touchscreens was complete and exceeded the expectations of the customer.
And that is exactly what he did.
