New funding opportunity for EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges
There’s no doubt that the effective implementation of technology in schools improves teaching and learning outcomes. The Department for Education (DfE) recognises this, and we are delighted to support them with their excellent new initiative – the EdTech Demonstrator Schools and Colleges Programme.
As a Demonstrator school, you will receive between £75,000 and £150,000 in grant funding to support the delivery of this programme. You will provide support and guidance to other schools on the effective use of technology to reduce teachers’ workload, improve accessibility and inclusion, and ultimately support excellent teaching and learning.
To apply, you must be a state-funded provider of primary, secondary or 16 to 19 programmes of education with an Ofsted rating of ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’. Other eligibility criteria apply.
We have spoken with the DfE about the initiative and they encourage applications from school clusters or consortia – whether as or within a Trust, a local authority cluster or simply an informal network of schools who can demonstrate they’d work effectively together.
Initial completion of an Expression of Interest (EOI) form is required. Please visit the EdTech Demonstrator Schools page on the DfE website for more information and to download the form. The deadline for application is Friday 22 November 2019.
The DfE will be running Skype Q&A sessions to answer all your questions about the programme at:
Wednesday 6 November at 4pm – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/76195070507
Thursday 7 November at 4pm – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/76196418539
Let us know if you’re planning on applying – we’ll be more than happy to help you with your submission! We’ll also be available to support you as and when you’re successful. Please just add your details to this form, and we’ll keep in touch.
