SMART descends on Wakefield schools!

Pinders Primary and Sharslton Community schools went from caution to nerves to excitement to immense pride and everything in between in the run-up to the visit and during the day! Chocolate muffins, hot and cold drinks and lots of friendly (if a little petrified) faces were waiting to greet the SMART team, alongside a school of polite, courteous and enthusiastic pupils. All of whom, as it happens, were clearly skilled and well-practised at using the latest SMART Learning Suite software.

Prior to the visits, teachers at both schools received a training refresh from our SMART-accredited trainer Daniel Handford to ensure they were using both the SMART hardware and software to best effect. SMART Lab, Notebook, visualisers and mobile devices were used throughout the school, and this case study will give the schools a chance to show the enormous benefits they’re bringing to learning outcomes. Letter formation, adverbs, fractions, number bonds and lots more were covered throughout the visits.

The movie production team have now returned to Canada with several hundred photos and several hours of movie footage. It’s now their job to present the outstanding achievements these schools have made and the exciting results the using the latest SMART brings to their schools. Watch this space!

Upon seeing some of the footage, the first thing the Deputy Head at one school said was ‘Wow! We look really good – I can’t believe that’s our school!’.

Let us know if you’d like to showcase your school as a case study! Whether it’s interactive touchscreens, visualisers or any other range, and as a movie or just some professional photography, we’d love to work with you to show the world your staff and pupils doing what they do best. You’ll also get to keep the photos and the raw movie footage for your pupils to work with.
