InVentry sign-in system – High Tunstall College of Science, Hartlepool

High Tunstall College of Science sought a range of benefits in their new visitor sign-in solution…

They wanted to see clear improvements in the safeguarding of staff and pupils and taking workload away from staff so they can concentrate on other areas.

Use of the system is saving this Secondary School vast amounts of time due to its automated management of data and its seamless integration with their MIS. It is also ticking a crucial safeguarding box when it comes to OFSTED inspections.

In addition, the Headteacher now benefits from the bulk visitor sign-in aspects of the system when booking meetings, as well as the notification he receives when a visitor arrives – a function that can also supply a photo of the visitor on an email!

Block start

From school trip management to accessing data on a mobile device, their staff are now confidently using the majority of the system’s functionality. This is largely as a result of the ongoing support their staff are receiving – described by the Headteacher as ‘first-class’.

🕐 Do you have a Viewsonic touchscreen and use myViewBoard software? Did you know you can use your mobile device and a QR code to sign in, saving you time in the classroom?

💚 Sustainability and carbon reduction is now an essential consideration for schools.

New #edtech is nearly always less energy/carbon intensive than legacy. Account for this in a Carbon Reduction Plan.

It also reduces energy costs

💡 Team training from @ElementaryAV colleague Frazer about @MicrosoftFlip.

A superb tool for seamless sharing of video. And lots more! Microsoft schools already have access, but most won't realise.

Opportunities for use in teaching are endless 👏🏼
