InVentry sign-in system- Burwell Village Primary School, Cambridge

Burwell Village College initially saw the Inventry sign-in system at a nearby school. They were impressed by the stylish touchscreen interface found in reception which integrated with the school’s busy office.

The school sought a range of benefits when they upgraded the system. They wanted a better process to safeguard who was on the premises, and a system that was easy to manage. After investigating several other sign-in solutions for education, they chose Inventry and “are very pleased we did”.

Staff sign themselves in and out during school time and Miss Taylor, Office Manager at Burwell comments, “even parents have adapted well signing children out when being taken off site.”

See some other comment from Miss Taylor:

Use of the system is saving time due to its link with SIMS, meaning the upkeep of pupil data is minimal. The school keep comprehensive data reports on staff and regular visitors with DBS check reports pre-installed – a crucial safeguarding advantage.

From seamless links with SIMS to incident reporting office staff are now easily using the systems key features. Due to ongoing training and support from product specialists at Elementary Technology, they now use other valuable features to “suit our school”.

The school now also benefit from Club Reg, for electronic registration via mobile devices of pupils outside of normal lesson time, such as breakfast or after-school clubs. They also benefit from group tracking, with one quick swipe of an ID badge groups of pupils leave for trips. In addition, the school benefit from using time cards to track the hours worked by contractors – a cost-effective measure for them ensuring they’re receiving what they’re paying for.
