Technology Training & CPD

On a daily basis we speak to frustrated schools who have invested in technology, yet do not feel equipped to use it properly. We also know schools decide against upgrading their technology because they don’t trust that suppliers will support them afterwards.

This is plain wrong, and we are determined to do better. This is why we’re creating excellent, supportive training schemes to ensure you reap all the benefits technology brings.

Arrow
  • Head Teachers

Let’s Start With Why…

  • better training leads to better outcomes - and not just teaching and learning

  • Technology with poor training is a missed opportunity

  • Our private CPD training portal supports your continuous improvement

  • Tips, tricks and technology tools - we'll send you regular updates

  • In school, on YouTube, live online... your training, your choice

Our research consistently shows that schools value technology training. Training provides peace of mind that this new expensive technology will get used to its full potential. It helps a school receive a return on cost, and improve outcomes.

Our experience however is many suppliers provide insufficient training as standard, and many schools fail to request it. We’re not talking about training on how to plug in your laptop and use the in-built whiteboard.

We’re talking about training on how to use the lesson building software to teach bar modelling. How to record and playback on your visualiser to teach letter formation. How to use pupil devices for live assessment and pupil progress tracking. How teachers can use technology to be more effective.

These are the real benefits technology brings, yet they are only accessed after detailed, pedagogical training that is just as unique as your school is!

Here is a snapshot of your options.

The most important part is getting the basics right though – this is what teachers tell us they need most of all. Also, the tips that help make teachers’ live easier – think how the simple Windows Snipping Tool changes lives!

So we’ve worked hard to create Get Set Go Training – everything you need to know (and a little more) to get started.

Get Set Go® Training – what is it and what’s included?

Our unique Get Set Go Training portal contains teacher-focused training content for a range of core EdTech brands – from SMART to ViewSonic to Google Workspace and more. Each contains a long list of CPD videos – built with you as UK educators in mind – and a quick CPD quiz for which you receive a named CPD certificate of completion.

Every user gets their own unique log in, enabling them to track their progress until they’re ready to Get Set Go!

More log ins, perhaps if other teachers get envious or are already using similar technology, are available on request.

Log in access to the portal for this service is provided free for many customers according to the technology we’ve supplied.

Describing your HDMI ports in training won’t improve pupil outcomes – explaining how to use the latest technology to engage your pupils will.
