Every school has a unique technology profile - brands, models, warranties, performance, platforms, devices and training needs. This should be fully understood before decisions are made for any future developments. Before we start any journey, we need to know where you are now! This gives us a jumping off point to tailor your tech to you.
Before introducing new technology into Keelham Primary School, we started with our Classroom Healthcheck - understanding their current setup, challenges, and aspirations. This process wasn’t just about checking what devices were in place—it was about uncovering opportunities. Were teachers fully utilising their tools? Was the technology supporting learning and delivering impact? Did the school have the right digital infrastructure to support future upgrades?
By working closely with Keelham’s leadership and staff, we empowered them to create a clear vision and strategy for the school’s digital transformation. Every decision was made with a focus on long-term impact, aligning with their goals for:
- Teaching and Learning – Ensuring teachers had the tools to enhance engagement and improve outcomes.
- Staff Wellbeing – Reducing workload with time-saving technology.
- Financial and Environmental Resilience – Selecting sustainable solutions that reduced energy consumption and printing costs.
With this vision in place, we mapped out a realistic three-year strategy to introduce the right technology at the right time, making sure every investment delivered lasting benefits and impact for pupils.
The Classroom Healthcheck gave a clear indication of where we were and what we needed to do to get to where we wanted to be. It was useful to have an external perspective on our current technology as it highlighted needs we'd previously overlooked.
What's next?
Once a clear understanding of where you are now has been developed, and a well-considered strategy put into place, you're ready to consider the next step - choosing the right technology to deliver impact in your classrooms.
